Letter From New Owner - Ryan Kroon

Dear Nashville Community,

Over the years I’ve fallen in love with this city... the history of Music Row, the liveliness of Broadway, the creative energy from the local colleges and the overly dramatic drive to the East Side (I live on the Westside...). As I’ve traveled the world with some of the biggest names in Country Music, I’ve seen first hand the impact that Nashville has - not only in music, but culture in general. I hold myself to the highest standards and constantly aim to treat everyone I come across with respect, positivity, joyfulness and of course a corny joke more often than not. And it’s this same mindset that I’ll bring with me to Project 615. With that I’m deeply honored and excited to be taking over a brand that’s been around for over a decade creating products that not only make people proud of the city we call home, but also give back to the community we treasure.

Last month I witnessed how the voices of this community felt like they were not being heard and valued... and I’m making a commitment to be better. My view moving forward for Project 615 is straight forward: we don’t condone racism, sexism and believe in every human, no matter their race, gender, sexuality and religious beliefs should be treated equally. I know at this point these are just words but I’m excited about the opportunity of earning your trust back and doing good for this community in ways we can all be proud of.

I’m starting small, getting back to the roots of the brand, and will need to slowly grow a team here at Project 615 that is passionate about the city, our unique culture and want to see our product worn loud and proud all over this beautiful state and even the country. Project 615 isn’t just one person... it’s all of us, its a collection of people that call this city home or are just visiting for a long weekend, WE are Project 615. #NashvilleNow

Please email me at Ryan@project615.com with feedback, concerns, fresh ideas or if you’re interested in potentially joining the brand in the coming months. I can’t wait to see what this brand can grow into and am honored to be the face of it.

To kick off this new beginning for Project 615, I'm happy to announce that we’ll be partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to help provide meals for those in need and who have been hit hardest during these uncertain times. Starting today, August 17th and running through September 30th we’ll be donating 12 meals for every tee and hat sold. September also happens to be Hunger Action Month, so let’s come together and help stop hunger in Middle Tennessee!
